What should I bring to my first consultation?

Our Services
Can Bimha Attorneys help with both personal and business legal matters?
Yes. We serve corporates, SMEs, and private individuals across all our practice areas. Whether you need advice on a commercial transaction, an employment dispute, a criminal matter, or a property transfer, we can help.
Do you assist clients outside Harare?
Our primary practice is in Harare, though we are able to assist with matters that fall within Zimbabwean law regardless of where you are based. Please get in touch to discuss your specific situation.
How long will my legal matter take to resolve?
This depends entirely on the nature of your matter. Routine conveyancing transactions typically resolve within 60–90 days; more complex corporate or employment disputes may take considerably longer. We will give you a realistic assessment of timelines during your initial consultation.
Conveyancing
What is conveyancing?
Conveyancing is the legal process of transferring ownership of immovable property from one party to another. It involves drafting, executing, and registering all necessary documents to legally transfer title — ensuring the transaction is valid, complete, and properly recorded with the Deeds Office.
What documents do I need for a property transfer?
Typically you will need: proof of identity (national ID or passport), the current title deed or an agreement of sale, and any mortgage or bond documents if applicable. We will provide a complete checklist at the outset of your matter.
What are transfer fees and who pays them?
Transfer fees cover the legal and administrative costs of registering the property in the purchaser's name — including conveyancing fees, stamp duty, and registration fees. In most cases, these are borne by the purchaser. We will provide a full, itemised fee estimate at the start of your matter.
